I’ve been very impressed with George Greanias’ work at METRO. He stabilized the finances and continued the light rail plan in a fiscally pragmatic manner. Now, METRO is reaching out to the community to get input on what to do for the next decade. They’re holding not 4, not 12, but 24 workshops across the city to communicate with Houstonians about their plans and to seek feedback and guidance. Dates and addresses of the workshops are here and a video of a dry-run of their presentation is here (at the top of the “Archived Videos” section). Get involved! Get heard! and help shape the future of Houston’s transit!
