Our new look

We’ve unveiled a new look for neoHOUSTON today, and we hope you like it. You’ll notice a few simple changes, mainly the color scheme is a little brighter, and we’ve got a nice new logo up top. We’ve also reworked our sidebar and menu bars, which we think makes them a little easier to navigate.

We’re also trying out placing a Google ad on the site. We have mixed-feelings about this, as we don’t want to clutter up the page or make it less readable, but we’d love to cover annual server and domain registration fees. So, that’s an experiement in progress. If Google serves up relevant, unobnoxious ads, we’ll probably keep it. If not, we’ll go a different direction.

Now that things are a little more settled on the programming / server side of things, we’ll have some free time to explore new features and content. If you all have any suggestions, please add them as comments on this post! We hope you enjoy the changes, and look forward to hearing any feedback you care to offer!

So, the image ad was annoying. If text-only in the same spot remains annoying, we’ll just pull it.
