That sounds like good economic stimulus to me, actually exporting something…

That said, apparently the gas will resume flowing pretty soon, so the point is probably moot. Still, not a bad idea, I think.

Whenever people complain about the weather here in Houston, just remember, it’s worse in the North. At least our roads stay clear year-round.

Lastly, Texas seems to be surviving the economic dip in relatively good shape. Reports from Austin today say that lawmakers expect this year’s budget to be the same as last. Boy, I wish it didn’t take a worldwide economic meltdown to get them to keep the budget the same from one year to the next.
